Course Overview This course examines the critical role of communication in navigating contemporary social justice movements and fostering inclusive communities. Students will explore the power of rhetoric, dialogue, and media in both challenging and uniting society, moving beyond divisive discourse toward tangible solutions. The curriculum is grounded in the belief that effective, ethical communication is the foundation for meaningful change. Key Program Highlights Analyze the rhetoric of modern social movements and their impact on public discourse and policy. Participate in facilitated interracial dialogues to build practical communication skills for difficult conversations. Explore strategies for integrating principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion into marketing and strategic communication. Learn from a diverse array of alumni and expert speakers on topics like the Black experience in history and media.
