Course Overview This program equips you with the essential skills for a successful career in cafés and restaurants, combining practical training in food preparation and barista techniques with vital knowledge in health and safety. Developed through a unique partnership between NorthTec and the Restaurant Association, the Te Tupu Tahi program is designed to grow both the individual (māhuri) and the wider hospitality industry in Te Tai Tokerau simultaneously. The flexible structure supports both new learners and those already working in the industry, offering a pathway to a formal NZQA qualification.
